The town of Razgrad is situated in a hilly area, near the Beli (White) Lom River, some 345 km away from Bulgarian capital - Sofia city. The population is 39 000. For many centuries Razgrad has been a natural crossroad of essential thoroughfares connecting Central Europe with the Black sea area and Asia. It is railway station on the Ruse-Varna railroad, which is the shortest cut between the Danube River and the Black sea. The hospitable climate, waters and soils favor the development of agriculture. There are large deposits of kaolin near Razgrad, an essential raw material for the silicate industry. The town boasts with the production of faience, ceramic and glass products.
The natural conditions were appreciated even centennials ago, back to the Neolith Age. From ancient times to present day, the town has been a strategic, administrative and economic center of the region. After the Thracians here came the Romans who built in 1st century BC the ancient town of Abritus. Within the boundaries of the Ottoman Empire Razgrad kept its role of an important military and cultural center - it is used to have seven mosques, a lot of shops, bazaars.
10 km from the town is located Pchelina Forest Park which create conditions for the development of ecotourism as well as the Momina Belyanka site - near the village of Dryanovo with its unique caves, some 2 km away from the village. There is good opportunity for property investment.
